Frank Atkinson

Frank has had a successful career in international Private Equity and hi tech Venture Capital spanning four decades.

​

Frank started his career with Continental Capital Corporation in San Francisco before pursuing international project opportunities as a Vice President with Triad Holding Corporation, which moved him to Beirut, Duesseldorf and London. While at Triad Frank's business activities focused on Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan and Tunisia. Following Triad Frank formed the Investment Management Group for the Imperial Bank, in Los Angeles, where his Private Equity activities took him to Latin America and Hong Kong. Frank's most recent forays into Venture Capital were co-founding the HMS Group in Menlo Park, California and the InterArab Investment Fund in Amman, Jordan and Muscat, Oman.

Frank was the Founder and first President of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists, the industry's first professional trade organization. This organization, with 130 Silicon Valley venture firms and 800 venture capitalists as members, is based in Menlo Park.

Frank holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and an Master of Business Administation from University of California Los Angles. Frank put himself through graduate school by playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos of the National Football League. Frank is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
